An emotional life

Since when did weblogs become capable of emotions? Does the authors choice of the word weblogs versus blogs tell us something about the emotional life of the author? Will blogs develop relationships with digipets? Do blogs have their own pests? How do blogs keep themselves clean? So many questions to ask of those newly sentient blogs, so little time.
