cool. some of these modules are optional - that is, we can vote not to keep them.
also, i've heard that overuse of modules really slows down rebuilding. any ideas about that?
do they need to be modules? most of them only appear on the index page.
That has not been my case really. I kept the main entries section on the template. these are the elements going on the sides. in TP they're place in a SSI element so I could just do that as well : of creating in theory 2 modules instead of all of these. the thing is, they work like lego block as they are right now. so we can use them until all the elements are in place and redo the template sans modules.
