NWN asks me for access to my keychain. When I allow it I get the feed from this password protected channel. If this doesn't work we can do something with php or some other scripting language which relies upon cookies to allow access.
It would have to be made part of the template and would require that the scripting language be available.
This may be a better solution if Rayne & Mr. Bayer cannot get in anyway because of their platform.

My feeds are refreshed on the hour. I have my pref file set to store passwords in the keychain. The first time I accessed the page through http I gave id & password and I checked that I wanted to store it in the keychain. When I first accessed the feed through NWN I was given a dialogue asking if I'd grant permission to the key chain. I responded yes & now I can access the feed as part of my normal refrsh cycle.

it's weird. NNW doesn't ask me for the password... not sure why.
one approach might be to just put it back out in the open. it's not like we're discussing trade secrets here.
