 The voice caught me by surprise and made me jump half out of my seat.

 ÑJesus!É I exclaimed.

 ÑYes, Mark,É said Jesus, looking more than a little perturbed. ÑYou didnÅt really watch that Tim McGraw special last night, did you?É

 ÑI was planning on it,É I said. ÑI dunno, the satellite was acting up, so I just went down the street for a couple of drinks.É

 ÑA couple?É He replied, a note of sarcasm in His voice. ÑNever mind. I just wanted to take a look at some more of the Salon Blogs.É

 I showed him The Barbaric Yawp. Having recently discovered that the Yawp is an ordained minister, I though He might be interested. TodayÅs post discusses Bush, Lyndon Johnson, and pseudo-celebrities. ÑNothing about me,É he muttered, and we moved on.

 We took a look at NecroliciousÅ article on democracy and the loss of faith. Jesus just shook his head sadly.

ÑTenorman.net,É I said quizzically. ÑWhatÅs that?É
ÑHe used to blog here a long time ago,É replied Jesus, Ñand now, much like Lazarus‡É

I could tell He was ready for something a bit more lighthearted, so we clicked over to Pesky the Rat where we read about Bush and Insane Turkeys. ÑRedundant,É quipped Jesus. We laughed and laughed.

 ÑListen, Jesus, IÅd really like to spend some more time with you and all, but thereÅs this tribute to Elvis on TV that IÅd really like to see, you know‡É

 ÑI understand. Go ahead and visit the pub,É He replied.
